Field Trip to Kallang Riverside Park 14/04/2008

We have completed our first field trip to the Kallang Riverside Park at Kg Bugis Road. Thee study area is actually a confluence of Kallang River and Rochor River before the water enters into the Marina Basin. We would like to find out whether the setting up of the Marina Barrage has an impact on the water (salinity, PH, dissolved oxygen, temperature and so on) and the animals found.

It was a fruitful trip even though we had some hitches initially.
We managed to collect some data on the water quality and document the animals that were found in the water (both alive and dead). We also recorded and took photographs of the rubbish found on the shore.

I would like to share some of the photographs I had taken where the students were at work!
